Meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM MDT by William A. Thompson.

 

RULE DISCUSSION

 

A discussion was held regarding the requirements for a Class I license.

 

A motion was made by Mr. Hansen for Mr. Hales to draft a letter outlining the Board’s proposed modification to the requirements for a Class I license including the following:

·        800 hours of supervised experience in the Class I or higher system in not less than one calendar year.

·        32 hours of continuing education relevant to the license type.

 

The letter will be sent to all licensed operators; DEQ will send it to all system owners and IRWA will send it to their membership.  Seconded by Mr. Villegas, motion carried.

 

APPLICATION FOR LICENSURE

 

A motion was made by Mr. Villegas to approve the changes as presented to the experience addendum. Seconded by Mr. Dees, motion carried.

 

CORRESPONDENCE

 

A discussion was held regarding the verbiage for a Wastewater Laboratory license. The Board will discuss further at their May 13, 2009 board meeting.

 

A motion was made by Mr. Hansen to waive the exam and application fees for Eric Milliron and allow him to take the Wastewater Laboratory – Class II exam on June 17, 2009. Seconded by Mr. Villegas, motion carried.
