Meeting Minutes of July 26, 2007 Conference Call

The Idaho State Board of Social Work Examiners meeting was called to order at 9:08 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2007 at the Bureau of Occupational Licenses, Owyhee Plaza, 1109 Main Street, Suite 220, Boise, Idaho.

Formal Disciplinary Action

Roger Hales presented a settlement offer from Nick L. Nielson, Attorney for Marlene Skunkcap in regards to District Court Case No. CV-2006-4673-OC.

After a full review and discussion the Board made the following motion:

The Board will agree to drop the appeal and bare its own costs in connection with the judicial review however; the Board feels strongly that Ms. Skunkcap is responsible for paying the fees and costs accumulated in the disciplinary process in the amount of $10,000.00 which can be paid in monthly installments in the amount of $333.00 beginning September 26, 2007.  Ms. Skunkcap’s license and renewal rights should be suspended for three years beginning September 26, 2007.  Prior to any reinstatement Ms. Skunkcap will be required to met with the Board and take any education the Board deems appropriate and practice under supervision as determined by the Board.

There being no further discussion Christiane Elise Magera moved to have the meeting adjourned.  Seconded by Dorothy Ring, motion carried.  The time being 10:07 a.m.
