Meeting was called to order at: 10:03 a.m.
Board Members present: Jerry Nemec-Chair; Pam Prather, Steve R. Pinther, Art Elliott, and Alan Gelet.
Others present: Rayola Jacobsen, Bureau Chief; Bill Schaefer; Cherie Simpson- Management Assistant, and Emily McMaster, Deputy Attorney General.
Ms. McMaster presented the Consumer Disclosure Memorandum that was distributed to the Board. She asked that the Board recommend pro-reviewers to assist in the disciplinary disposition of the investigations. Discussion was held on the duties of the pro-reviewers and the location. It was recommended that at least three pro-reviewers be utilized from various parts of the state. Compensation for pro-reviewers was discussed. This will be discussed further during the November 28th board meeting.
Discussion was held on the statute dealing with the Consumer Disclosure agreements between contractors and homeowners when doing work that totals over $2000.00. The Board will discuss ways to educate and inform contractors of this law during the November 28th meeting. They will discuss ways to educate via the Boards website.
CON-2007-1 – Discussion was held. Motion by Mr. Elliott to accept the recommendation of the Office of the Attorney General. Seconded by Ms. Prather, carried.
Motion was made by Ms. Prather to enter into executive session to consider records exempt from public disclosure as stated in 67-2345 (1) (d). Seconded by Mr. Gelet. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Ms. Prather to come out of executive session. Seconded by Mr. Gelet. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Ms. Prather to approve all applications that were distributed to the board for review. Seconded by Mr. Elliott, motion carried.
Discussion was held on the minutes for meetings held August 8, 2006, September 5, 2006, October 17, 2006, and October 31, 2006. Moved by Ms. Prather that minutes be approved as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Gelet, carried.
