The meeting was
called to order at 10:05 a.m.
Board members
present: Jerry Nemec, Pam Prather, Steve
Pinther, and Art Elliott, and Alan Gelet.
Others
present: Rayola Jacobsen, Bureau Chief;
Motion made by Mr. Gelet to go into executive session to review records that are exempt from disclosure as provided in Chapter 3, Title 9, Idaho Code; seconded by Ms. Prather; motion carried.
Motion made by Mr. Elliott to come out of executive session, seconded by Ms. Prather; motion carried.
Motion made by Mr. Gelet to approve the applications for registration submitted to the Board with the exception of sixty-five (65) applications, that will be held subject to more information. Following discussion four (4) additional applications are to be held for information, seconded by Ms. Prather; motion carried.
Mr. Hales clarified the lien rights law in regards to non-registered contractors to the board. Mr. Hale clarified the requirements for registration with the example the board provided as explanation. The example was; is a company that is hired to cut down trees in a city park, need to be registered. Mr. Hales clarified that it is up to the individual if they want to register or not, however they may lose their lien rights as a result of not being registered.
