Conference Call Board Meeting Minutes of January 25, 2008

The meeting was called to order at 12:20 p.m.

Mr. Hales presented background information on the proposed legislation, House Bill 377, which has been sent to print by the House Health and Welfare Committee.  The Board discussed amending the bill to strike 54-707(15), which refers to “Manipulation under Anesthesia.” This seems to be a concern and could keep the bill from moving forward. If the bill is amended, it will have to go back to the House Health and Welfare Committee.

The sub-committee will be scheduling another meeting hopefully this week.

Moved by Dr. Anderson that the Board drop the “Manipulation under Anesthesia” part of the bill and proceed with the amended bill.  Seconded by Dr. Nelson, motion carried.

The Board scheduled a conference call meeting for April 9, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. and left the options open to schedule an emergency meeting if necessary.

Moved by Dr. Anderson to adjourn the meeting at 12:55 p.m.  Seconded by Dr. Nelson, motion carried.
