Board Meeting Minutes of January 31, 2007

ALSO PRESENT:       Tana Cory, Bureau Chief

Dr. Mayo called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m.

Board reviewed additional Peer Review Applications for the 2007 Peer Review Committee.  Moved by Dr. Gaertner-Ewing that the Board accept the following names to be included on the 2007 Peer Review Committee.  Seconded by Dr. Dutson, motion carried.

Jason West, pending receipt of complete application.

The Board discussed the next NBCE meeting which is scheduled for May 4, 2007 at St. Louis, Missouri.  Moved by Dr. Gaertner-Ewing that Dr. Dutson be appointed by the Board as the Delegate and Dr. Gaertner-Ewing as Alternate Delegate for this meeting and to approve appropriate funds under state regulation.  Seconded by Dr. Dutson, motion carried.

The Board reviewed the medical survey drafted by Dr. Anderson and suggested a few changes.  This survey will be mailed to all Idaho licensed chiropractors to be returned by February 20, 2007 in order to be reviewed at the February 28, 2007 board meeting.

The Board reviewed a question from a chiropractor asking if “manipulation under anesthesia” is under the chiropractic scope of practice in Idaho.  Dr. Mayo will research this question for the next meeting.
